STAIR Narrative Therapy

For CliniciansSTAIR Narrative Therapy is an evidence-based treatment that can be used by mental health providers who work with individuals who have experienced traumatic stressors particularly those related to interpersonal violence.

This includes sexual assault, sexual abuse, physical assault, domestic violence, community violence, combat and terrorism (e.g., 9/11 attack).

The treatment was originally developed for women, but it also has been successfully used with men and with clients of varied ages (including children and adolescents) who have experienced various types of interpersonal violence.
